Harness Safety & Precautions

Choosing the correct size harness is tantamount to making sure your pet is secure. Please measure your pet with precision. Incorrect sizing may lead to your pet sliding out of the harness. WhiskersWish maintains a hold harmless position with regard to improper harness sizing by the customer.
To determine if the harness fits comfortably for your dog or cat, place two fingers under the harness at the neck and chest. If two fingers can fit, the harness is properly adjusted. If two fingers can not fit, please loosen the adjustable straps or opt for a larger size. Then again, if there is too much space, please adjust the straps to tighten or opt for a smaller size. ​​

Return and Exchange Policy

• No final sale items
• All items must be brand new, unwashed, and fur-free.
•  WhiskersWish will not accept return or exchange any products that were damaged as a result of chewing, biting or scratching of any kind.
• Unused or unworn items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days upon purchase date. Package must be postmarked within 30 days of delivery.
• You must include a note (your reason for your return) with your order number.
• Customer is responsible for any and all related shipping costs to mail back returns. USPS is typically the lower priced option to return products. On the other hand, you may use the courier of your preference.
• WhiskersWish does not provide free return labels.
• If the wrong product (size or color) was sent to you, we will exchange it for the correct product at our expense. If you ordered the wrong product, we can exchange it for you. The product must still be in its original and unused condition. This is at your own expense.
• Once we receive your return, you will receive your refund.

Every cat has its unique personality and adapting them to a harness and leash requires time and patience. If your cat initially resists, don't give up hope. The key is to demonstrate to them that they can move freely while wearing a harness. One helpful tip is to engage them in play or during mealtime while they have the harness on. Being patient and having treats handy throughout the process is crucial.

The process of getting your cat comfortable in a harness may take days or even weeks. Once they are accustomed to the harness and walking, it's time to introduce the leash. Begin by practicing walks around your home for a few days until your cat feels at ease. Allow your cat to lead the way during these initial walks, both indoors and outdoors. Remember, patience is key when working with your furry friend. From our own experience with our cat, Nala, we have observed that she feels most comfortable when she is further away from loud noises and unfamiliar people.

Moreover, it's perfectly fine if your cat doesn't adapt to the harness and leash. You can still provide them with an enjoyable indoor adventure instead! ☺

Frequency and duration of walks will depend on your cat's reaction and if they want to.

1. Start by taking your cat for a stroll around your house or a cozy screened outdoor area. Consider it a warm-up exercise for your furry friend before venturing further! ☺

2. Before heading out, choose a peaceful time when it's quiet outside. This way, your cat won't get startled or anxious during the walk.

3. Don't forget to pack some yummy treats to keep your cat motivated and supported throughout the walk. It's like a little reward for their efforts!

4. During the initial walks, allow your cat to take the lead. Let them explore their surroundings and guide you along the way. It helps them feel more comfortable and in control.

5. Remember, patience is key! Some cats may take time to adjust to walking on a leash. So, be understanding and give them the time they need to get used to this new adventure.
